Final-year engineering capstone with a satellite company. Seasonality-aware albedo prediction API covering any point on Earth, trained on 5TB of NASA observations, serving 10M+ tiles per day at p95 under 80ms.
What I worked on
- ETL pipeline from NASA APIs with retry, checksum verification, and tiling — 5TB ingested.
- Seasonality-aware models validated against ground-truth observations across climate zones.
- PostgreSQL with PostGIS spatial indexes — 12× improvement on geospatial lookups.
- 99.9% uptime, p95 latency under 80ms, 10M+ tiles served per day.
